Waves will lull us no more,

they let us go.

This tide of goody-two-shoes

couldn’t drain the ocean

or the tears that I cried.

Now I am the ocean

and I am deep

and I am restless.

Thousands like me I have seen lost

thousands like me

in this ocean’s blue deep

but the waves will not lull us,

the tides will not return us

and like algae we go down slowly

without weight,

without air,

hang on an invisible wire

that rests us on the ocean’s floor.

Like stones, unmovable we are now

dead nature.
